We begin this week's issue of the Black AIDS Weekly by reminding you about our #30DaysOfHIV Online Community Calendar depicting health and HIV-related events taking place throughout the U.S. between May 27 and June 27, which is National HIV Testing Day. Read on to learn how to submit your events.

We also honor LA Pride ambassador Gerald Garth and tell you about how the organizers of this year's annual Pride parade are transforming it from one celebrating the progress of LGBTQ people into a #ResistMarch for human rights in solidarity with people of different races, religions, philosophical beliefs, immigration status, genders and sexual orientations around the United States.

As the media focuses on the growing Trump administration scandal around Russia, those of us in the AIDS movement cannot take our eye off the ball of the Republicans' effort to "repeal and replace" the Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare, with the American Health Care Act, or Trumpcare. This week, we run a piece from our friends at ProPublica about the three strategies the Republicans are using to defend Trumpcare: euphemisms, false statements and deleted comments. Also, Colorlines tells us the five things we need to know about the Congressional Budget Office's Trumpcare report.

Finally, the Black AIDS Institute is seeking a diverse set of Black Americans to interview for its upcoming report on the Affordable Care Act/Obamacare. We are looking for people willing to speak about the importance of having health insurance and share their story. You don't have to be HIV positive to participate, and if you have HIV or AIDS, it's up to you whether you share your status. Read on to learn how to make your voice be heard.

Yours in the struggle,

Phill
