Following on the heels of the Obama administration's high level of commitment to ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic, this week we consider what the Trump Administration's approach to HIV/AIDS is likely to be. We tell you about March's Brown Bag Lunch Webinar, where the Black AIDS Institute and the Positive Women's Network USA examined the relationship between stigma and HIV/AIDS and what we can do to bring stigma to an end. Two reports released in March by the Transgender Law Center remind us of the tremendous challenges transgender and gender non-conforming people living with HIV face in the U.S. Our friends from Colorlines report.

New data from the CDC shows that the number of babies born with HIV in the United States has dropped dramatically over the past 20 years.

Finally, three new funding opportunities have been announced to support research to help us reach national and global HIV prevention and treatment goals, and to address minority health and health disparities. The earliest submission date for one grant is on April 7, so it's definitely time to get your application started.
