Black AIDS Institute Staffs Up for 2017

Big changes have taken place at the Black AIDS Institute.

Aunsha Everett-Hall, Senior Development Manager, Black AIDS Institute

Aunsha Everett-Hall is now the Institute's Senior Development Manager. He will work in various capacities to lead fund-development efforts and organizational-development strategies, and provide programming content expertise. Prior to joining the Institute, we knew Aunsha from his work as Executive Director of REACH LA.

Leisha McKinley-Beach, Consultant on National Projects, Black AIDS Institute

Leisha McKinley-Beach, who previously led the Institute's Mobilization & Stakeholder Engagement Departments, has returned in a consulting capacity to lead various national projects. Leisha will be working on the Institute's partnership with Planned Parenthood to expand PrEP in their affiliates, as well as on a team developing an HIV certification program based on the data collected through the Knowledge, Attitudes, and Beliefs (KAB) survey of the HIV/AIDS workforce. Leisha will also lead the Institute's programming to secure health-department contracts, and will provide content expertise on national programming efforts. Most recently, she was the HIV Program Administrator at the Fulton County Health Department, where she launched the first PrEP clinic in a Southern Health Department.

Lestian McNeal, Program Coordinator, Black AIDS Institute

Lestian McNeal is a Coordinator, who now works closely with BTANs. Lestian last served as the Field Director for Florida congressional representative Stephanie Murphy, the first Vietnamese American elected to Congress. His efforts contributed to the defeat of a 12-term Republican incumbent and pick-up of one of only six new Democratic congressional seats nationally. He has organized numerous political campaigns and will bring both political expertise and organizing experience.
