AIDS.gov reports on CMH's announcement last week that effective immediately, every Medicare beneficiary between the ages of 15 and 65 will be able to take one voluntary HIV test per year at no charge.

A groundbreaking new study is providing us with the first measurement of how many behavioral health professionals are available to treat millions of adults with a substance use disorder in all 50 states—a shortage we already know is dire. And in spite of its rocky launch, the federal health insurance exchange did a better job than the exchanges run by the individual states at both enrolling new people into Obamacare and hanging onto previous enrollees, during the 2015 open enrollment period. Finally, if you haven't already started on your grant application, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) is seeking grant applications from community-based organizations (CBOs) or Tribes from areas of high HIV prevalence through its 2015 Targeted Capacity Expansion: Substance Use Disorder Treatment for Racial/Ethnic Minority Populations at High-Risk for HIV/AIDS. Applications are due Thursday, May 14, 2015.
