For the past several years, I have been telling Black Americans that we have the tools to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic. I'm am even more convinced of that as PrEP clinics—specialized programs where people at risk of HIV can learn about pre-exposure prophylaxis and the other biomedical options available to them—begin to open in communities around the country. Tamara Holmes explores this new option in our toolkit to create an AIDS-free generation.

Viral hepatitis received a lot of attention at CROI 2015. In this issue Dr. Ronald Valdiserri, director of HHS's office of HIV/AIDS and infectious disease policy, and Dr. John Ward, director of the CDC's viral hepatitis division, talk some of the key science findings presented there as well as our nation's hepatitis response.

We learn more about the #SpeakOutHIV campaign, Greater Than AIDS' LGBTQ-youth focused dialogue to eliminate stigma. Also, research shows that substance abuse among HIV positive American women has fallen sharply since 1990, perhaps signaling a shift in the epidemic.
