The Magic Johnson Foundation and the Black AIDS Institute to Honor President Bill Clinton and others

The Magic Johnson Foundation and the Black AIDS Institute will honor President Bill Clinton and others at the 10th Annual Heroes in the Struggle Gala Reception, Silent Auction and Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 (World AIDS Day) at the Avalon Hollywood.

Heroes in the Struggle is a photographic tribute to Americans who have made outstanding contributions in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Since its debut on World AIDS Day, Dec. 1, 2001, the Heroes In The Struggle exhibit has traveled around the country, raising awareness, challenging individuals and institutions to get involved in their communities, and generating critical conversation about HIV testing and treatment.

This year's Heroes are: President Bill Clinton, Founder of the William J. Clinton Foundation and 42nd President of the United States; Blair Underwood, Award-Winning Actor, "The Event"; Lee L. Daniels, Academy Award-Nominated Producer and Director. "Precious"; Sheila C. Johnson, Businesswoman and Philanthropist, Executive Producer, "The Other City," Marvelyn Brown, AIDS Activist; Willis F.E. Edwards, Civil Rights Icon, Board Member, NAACP; Robi Reed, Award-Winning Producer, Casting Director, "For Colored Girls";  National Basketball Association, Corporate Hero.
