Collaborative HIV Program Improves Long-term Care for Youths in the United States

Specialized care for adolescents and young adults living with HIV
A new article published recently highlights a multi-agency, collaborative demonstration program that addressed health care barriers unique to adolescents and young adults living with HIV, a study supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Black AIDS Institute Announces "30 Days of HIV" Campaign Leading to National HIV Testing Day

30 Days of HIV
The Black AIDS Institute, the only national HIV/AIDS think tank in the U.S. focused exclusively on Black communities, has announced a national, digital community campaign, "30 Days of HIV," which will kick off on May 27, 2017, and conclude on National HIV Testing Day (NHTD), June 27.

Recently, Leisha McKinley Beach and I embarked upon the first leg of our tour of Southern health departments. We kicked off our journey in Florida, visiting the Miami-Dade (Miami), Broward (Ft. Lauderdale), Orange (Orlando) and Alachua (Gainesville) county health departments. We also met with members of BTAN Melbourne, which is also in Florida.
