New Release: Data on National HIV/AIDS Strategy Indicators

On the anniversary of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy, ONAP released an updated version of the Indicator Supplement, which outlines everything you want to know about the Strategy's indicators, or measures of progress, toward its 2020 goals.

Activists and Experts Convene to Attack HIV Criminalization

HIV Is Not a Crime

HIV advocates, state legislators, PLWHA and their allies convened at the University of Alabama in Huntsville in May for the HIV Is Not a Crime II National Training Academy, a conference aimed at providing attendees with tools to decriminalize HIV/AIDS.

BTAN LA and Watts Healthcare Show Strength in Unity

Wellness Day staff and volunteers

The Black Treatment Advocates Network Los Angeles was excited to host its first Community Wellness Day on July in partnership with Watts Healthcare and Walgreens. Held in the heart of Watts, the event followed a three-part testing series centered in different housing complexes throughout South LA, connecting the community to services and resources.

MSM blood donor program likely to change

On July 26, 2016, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a notice in the Federal Register titled "Blood Donor Deferral Policy for Reducing the Risk of Human Immunodeficiency Virus Transmission by Blood and Blood Products."

The Black AIDS Institute Seeks Architectural Services

The Black AIDS Institute offers an opportunity for an architect to showcase in South Central Los Angeles while helping to make available solely needed services.

To respond to the disproportionate impact of HIV in our communities, the Black AIDS Institute is excited to announce plans to provide direct health care services to Black Angelinos living in South Los Angeles. But expanding our services requires expanding our space.
