FDA Approves Viekira Pak to Treat Hepatitis C

Viekira Pak

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved Viekira Pak (ombitasvir, paritaprevir and ritonavir tablets co-packaged with dasabuvir tablets) to treat patients with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 1 infection, including those with a type of advanced liver disease called cirrhosis.

The Black AIDS Institute is working with Cicatelli Associates Inc. and API Wellness to provide capacity-building services for healthcare, AIDS-service and community-based organizations that engage in prevention work with HIV-positive individuals, prevention with high-risk negatives and HIV testing.
