Only 1 in 5 Gay Teen Boys Get HIV Test

Gay teen boys are much less likely to get tested for HIV than older gay males, researchers report.
The researchers surveyed more than 300 gay and bisexual male teens between the ages of 14 and 18 from across the United States. Only one in five had ever been tested for HIV, a rate significantly lower than among older gay and bisexual men, the researchers noted.

On August 15, 2015, Mexican-American Tamara Dominguez became the 17th transgender woman killed in the United States in 2015. The 36-year-old was found in a Kansas City, Missouri parking lot, run over by a vehicle behind a church.
