So, What Now? Five Racial Justice Thinkers Make Sense of the Election


There was less swagger, but arguably more urgency as millions of people headed to the polls this week to re-elect President Barack Obama. It wasn’t so much a test of hope as it was one of patience, to give the man from whom so much was expected four more years to make good on his promise—and to right some of his wrongs. Voters of color, in particular, played their part in democracy despite sometimes formidable odds and lasting economic hardship. All of this leads to one question: What’s next?

After The Election: A Consumer's Guide To The Health Law


Now that President Barack Obama has won a second term, the Affordable Care Act is back on a fast track.

Some analysts argue that there could be modifications to reduce federal spending as part of a broader deficit deal; for now, this is just speculation. What is clear is that the law will have sweeping ramifications for consumers, state officials, employers and health care providers, including hospitals and doctors.

Looking for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Service Providers? There’s an App for That


Little is more powerful than taking action to find or help someone else find services for his/her health. Last year on World AIDS Day, people conducted over 60,000 searches, 30% of which were mobile, on the HIV/AIDS Prevention & Service Provider Locator to help connect people to services offering testing, treatment and care.
