Jidenna on Black Lives Matter: 'It Is About Humanity And Valuing Each And Every Life'

Over the weekend, Jidenna performed an acclaimed set at the Made in America festival. The show marked the singer's return to Philadelphia following last month's #BlackJoy protest where he appeared alongside collaborator and labelmate Janelle Monáe for what proved to be just one in a series of public actions by the label's signees to highlight and empower contemporary activism in support of black lives. Most prominently, he was among the Wondaland artists featured on protest anthem "Hell You Talmbout."

USCA Kicks Off Thursday Plenary, Saying #BlackLivesMatter

The first day of the 2015 United States Conference on AIDS (USCA) opened in Washington, D.C., on Thursday with a breakfast plenary session centered around the notion that Black Lives Matter. The conference theme, "The numbers don't lie: It's time to end disparities!" also speaks to the importance of the lives of African Americans and other people of color.

Leading up to the 2015 United States Conference on AIDS (USCA), the Black AIDS Institute hosted the National Black PrEP Summit to raise awareness about the new treatment that some AIDS activists have called a game changer in fighting the epidemic.
