HHS Vows Push To Enroll More Uninsured In Obamacare This Fall

In a speech at the Howard University College of Medicine recently, U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Sylvia Burwell reflected on the progress of the first five years of the Affordable Care Act and provided a look at the upcoming Open Enrollment period

The health law's upcoming enrollment period may be its toughest yet, with federal officials promising a vigorous outreach campaign to enroll millions of eligible yet hard-to-reach Americans who have yet to sign up for health insurance.

Heterosexual Black men were largely invisible at the 2015 United States Conference on AIDS (USCA), which was held Sept. 10-13 in Washington, D.C., a long-term absence that will affect the future of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Black communities.

PACHA Shares NHAS Implementation Recommendations

A recent meeting of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (PACHA), which provides advice, information, and recommendations regarding programs and policies intended to promote effective prevention of HIV disease, and to advance research on HIV disease and AIDS

During the 57th meeting of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (PACHA) on September 15, 2015, the Council shared recommendations on the implementation of the Updated National HIV/AIDS Strategy (NHAS).

HIV and Aging

Currently, about one quarter of all people living with HIV, about 290,000 people, are aged 55 or over
