In This Issue

It is hard to believe this is our last issue of the year. 2015 has been both an extremely challenging and inspirational year. In the United States we are having a new and complicated conversion about race in America and are begging the question "Do Black Lives Matter?"

Commemorating World AIDS Day

On Dec. 1, 2015, several cities around the country commemorated World AIDS Day (WAD) with several events to raise awareness and to support PLWHA. (An estimated 34 million people have the virus worldwide, and more than 35 million people have died as a result of AIDS.)

National HIV Prevention Conference: Day One Recap

Major Insurer Says It Will Offer Individual Life Insurance Coverage To People With HIV

Home Office of Prudential Financial in Newark, New Jersey

Prudential Financial Inc., one of the nation's largest life insurers, plans to announce this week that it will offer traditional individual policies to eligible people living with HIV, a condition that for decades has excluded most of them from any but the skimpiest of coverage, company officials said.
