End HIV Now -- Black HIV!

As a 16-year advocate for HIV/AIDS, my demand for our Commander in Chief is to make a commitment to end HIV now -- HIV in Black America! Just like we found Osama Bin Laden, we can find a cure for HIV; just like we saved the auto industry, we can save lives and families from being negatively affected by HIV/AIDS; and just like our ancestors fought for our right to vote, we are the “ancestors” who need to hold politicians accountable for the cure for HIV/AIDS.

Obama’s Re-Election Moves HIV/AIDS Movement Forward

Tuesday’s election was an historic choice on the future direction of our nation. The stakes were particularly critical for the 1.1 million Americans living with HIV/AIDS or those at risk of infection -- and those people are disproportionately Black and low-income.
Across the nation, many across the HIV/AIDS community are waking up this morning with a sigh of relief after President Barack Obama’s re-election.

Longevity in My Future

Not voting has never been an option. I grew up with my grandmother and great-grandmother and they both instilled in me the importance of casting your vote so your voice would be heard. It became almost a ritual that you vote.
