Los Angeles Turns Out for "The Skinny"

On the evening of May 11, 2012, celebrities, supporters, fans, and advocates all alike came out to support the Black AIDS Institute and the premier of Patrick-Ian Polk’s, The Skinny at the Laemmle Music Hall 3 in Beverly Hills.
The evening followed with a Q & A panel with actors Jussie Smollet, Blake-Young Fountain, and Jennia Fredrique, moderated by CEO of the Black AIDS Institute, Phill Wilson, and Actress/Activist Vanessa L. Williams. The evening not only consisted of patrons coming out to support the movie, but also intense conversation about the epidemic and what it means for Black America. Over 100 attendees came out for the premier day activities and all received Greater Than AIDS materials to continue to spread the message. Phill Wilson graciously opened his beautiful home for an after party following the Q&A, and everyone truly enjoyed themselves. Thank you to all who came out.
