While Americans are living longer than ever, new research shows that an important racial gap in health exists between older Black and White women: living with disabilities.
The next two stories involve the increasingly popular technology, Facebook Live. In one piece, we report on the Live broadcast of several HRSA leaders from the 2016 Ryan White Conference, as they discussed public leadership among PLWHA, stable housing and other topics. We also run a piece about the Live conversation between NIH's Dr. Carl Dieffenbach and Anne Rancourt from AIDS.gov about what scientists now know about the benefits of HIV treatment and when people diagnosed with HIV should begin treatment.
A new study shows that more Americans can afford their prescription medication under the ACA than could afford it before the Act's passage—although many people still struggle to afford their meds, in part because so many states have not expanded Medicaid.
The Black AIDS Institute and Cicatelli Associates are seeking applications from health care organizations and AIDS service organizations for the second PrEP Learning Collaborative, which will begin in Houston at the end of September.
