This week, we continue a conversation that began at the US Conference on AIDS about the role heterosexual black man play in ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic and whether a space exists for straight men to become activists. Freddie Allen reports.
Our friends at AIDS.gov report on the recent PACHA meeting, some of the work underway to support PLWHA aged 55 or older, and HHS Secretary Burwell's recent announcement that $295 million in ACA funding will go to 1,195 health centers nationwide.
Finally, we are excited about the recent news that more then 9 million people have obtained health insurance through the marketplace during its first year and that a four percent drop has occurred in un-insurance among African-Americans.
Yours in the struggle,
Phill
