Season's greetings!
From biomedical breakthroughs, to hosting the International AIDS Conference in Washington, D.C., to the Supreme Court upholding the individual mandate -- this has this been an amazing year, even in the midst of these tough economic times.
In our last issue of 2012, we continue our look back at some of the stories that either brought us closer or hindered our efforts to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Black America. We bring you up to speed on DHHS's recent HIV/AIDS summit with Black gay and bisexual men, continue our coverage of the rollout of the Affordable Care Act with Kaiser Health News' report about the government's refusal to fund partial Medicaid expansion, update you on the 12 Cities project, and more.
When we return in 2013, we will have a new look, some new features, and new columnists.
Thank you for supporting us during this challenging year and we encourage you during this season of giving to support your favorite AIDS organization.
We wish you a joyous holiday season, a happy Kwanza, and a happy New Year.
Yours in the struggle,
Phill
