This tax season the Obama administration will be offering a special extension of the filing deadline for the Affordable Care Act to certain consumers. Kaiser Health News updates us on that change as well as on the modifications in Medicaid coverage that several Republican-led states are negotiating with the federal government as the states expand Medicaid.

Recently the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) announced that it will give research on the Hep C virus a $50 million funding boost. Our friends at AIDS.gov provide information about this new opportunity as well as on how to apply.
