Attending the International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2012) in Washington, DC?

Join the important conversation about the U.S. National HIV/AIDS Strategy – its key accomplishments, challenges, and future directions – that will take place on Sunday afternoon, July 22, 2012 from 1:30-3:30 PM in Session Room 9 at the Convention Center.

The satellite session, titled “Achieving the Goals of the U.S. National HIV/AIDS Strategy: Future Directions,” is being organized by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for conference participants and will feature federal, state, and community perspectives on implementation of the two-year old Strategy. This satellite session will take advantage of this unprecedented gathering of those working in the field of HIV and will engage representatives from diverse sectors in a dialogue about NHAS accomplishments to date and how we can best move forward together to achieve the Strategy’s vision and goals. With pursuit of the NHAS goals in the forefront of U.S. participants’ minds, AIDS 2012 will serve as a rich venue to learn about best practices—and overcoming challenges—from colleagues across the country and from other nations. These valuable lessons can inform and advance all facets of our own local, state, regional, and national efforts to treat and prevent HIV and turn the tide together.
