ADAP Watch: When No News Isn't Good News

We hoped that the beginning of a new ADAP fiscal year would bring the waiting list numbers down. So far, though, we see no sign of it: the numbers are holding steady at just under eight thousand. And more states are avoiding the appearance of denying life saving drugs, but not the fact, by lowering income eligibility ceilings. Illinois' Department of Public Health has announced plans to lower its eligibility ceiling to 300% of the Federal poverty level: (FPL) - $32,670 for a single individual - in July. Arkansas currently leads the race to the bottom with a 200% of FPL ceiling.
